Google Launches Beta of Google Page Creator

Google Labs today released the first public beta of Google Page Creator (http://pages.google.com/-/about.html), a WYSIWYG-editor-powered free hosting solution to anyone with a Gmail account. The service appears to be more an answer to the Yahoo!-owned GeoCities (http://geocities.yahoo.com/) community and MSN Spaces (http://spaces.msn.com/) than an attempt to attract small-business owners, but the 100MB of server space may be attractive to some. It will be interesting to see how this new service will integrate into Google's other services. Jennifer Laycock (http://www.searchengineguide.com/laycock/006883.html) correctly points out that a community the site of GeoCities all running AdSense ads could be a massive increase of advertising revenue for Google.
