ICANN settled with VeriSign (http://www.domaininformer.com/news/news/060301ICANN.html) giving it the right to raise domain registration fees 4 of the next 6 years. Some registrars are outraged (http://www.domaininformer.com/news/news/060301BULK.html). What do you think?

I believe this is yet another worrisome step towards a "closed Net," where all businesses may not be able to play. Unfortunately, once again a decision has been made by a domineering player that affects everyone - yet everyone did not have a hand in making the decision.

In my opinion, this is another sign that ICANN needs new, competent leaders, who know what they are doing.
