Okay, so here is a handy guide, courtesy of B.E.T.A news.
The technique uses gmail, and gmail is alredy pretty good at filtering spam, but still...
Step 1. Sign up for newsletters, websites, etc. using your gmail address with a slight modification, like this your_user_name+website_name@gmail.com.
Gmail ignores all symbols after the + sign, so you will receive everything in your inbox (your_user_name@gmail.com).

Step 2. When you receive a spam mail click on the “Show Details” link to expand the email header and find out the email address to which it was sent. The "website_name" part will show you who sold the address to spammers.
Brilliant, eh?
