Hi friend !

I think good designing will effect the visitor of you site because when visitors open your sites they initially watch you site designing or you site designing attract you site visitor firstly and everyone that know that first impress is the last impress.

But there are far more reasons: professional web design fits the engines search. It will affect your site rate and position.
Also, a good professional designer knows how to make the site visitors go to the pages where they can do things - which makes them stay longer in the site - for example: read an article, solve a quiz, fill a survey or an application form, or even buy.
Thats in addition to what mentioned before - the way the site looks atc.
